We are thrilled to announce a newly reorganized Hudson Valley Plein Air Festival, set to take place in the picturesque Hudson Valley from October 12, 2024 to October 18, 2024. This year’s festival is all about celebrating art and community with a week full of painting events, interactive activities, and exciting prizes!

🎨 Join the Painting Experience: Whether you’re an aspiring artist or a seasoned pro, you’re invited to register and be a part of the creative process. Paint anywhere on the map provided or alongside fellow artists at group paint-out locations scheduled daily. Click Here to Register
👩🎨 Spectator Opportunities: Not into painting yourself? No problem! Come as a spectator and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere. Watch live painting demonstrations, engage with artists, and the glorious fall landscape.
🖼️ Engage with Artists: Take the opportunity to talk to the artists, learn about their techniques, and gain inspiration from their work. It’s a unique chance to connect with creative minds and see your favorite locations from a new perspective.
🎉 Receptions & Awards: Attend our special receptions and awards ceremonies where we celebrate the talent and hard work of all participants. Cheer for your favorites and be part of the excitement as we honor the best of the festival!
Festival Dates: Saturday October 12th – Friday, October 18th
Saturday, October 12, 2024 Quick Draw 10:00-1:0o pm – in the charming hamlet of Sugar Loaf during their Fall Festival. The Quick Draw is a 2 hour painting competition where painters start with blank canvases at 10:00 am and present finished work by 12:00. It’s harder than you might think! Artwork will be displayed for the public and there will be judging and prizes. First Place $300, Second Place $200, Third Place $100 presented by Whelan Family Fund, Sugar Loaf Chamber of Commerce, Day Seckler and Hill-N-Dale Abstracters.
Children can compete for gifts and ribbons for free in the youth category! Bring your own materials or use our watercolor and paper.
