Awaken your inner artistic sensibilities using a relaxing Zen technique. With Sumi-E brushes and unusual mark-making materials (netting, string, bubble wrap, cardboard, pine needles etc.) you’ll create an intuitive watercolor that you can apply to a greeting card to send or give as a gift. No drawing skills required.

Monica A. Ostrow has been practicing commercial design and creative artmaking for more than 45 years in Orange County. A graduate of Wilkes University, and a student of the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, she co-founded Artists Alternative, a group devoted to non-traditional artistic methods and ideas. She has always chosen to explore unusual materials and techniques to apply to her practice. Her works have been exhibited throughout the Hudson Valley and she has won numerous awards.
