Artist Statement

Flowers have a primal meaning to Ward Lamb who sees them as transient and beautiful as so much of life is.  His paintings are rich in color and atmosphere, painted from life. Lamb’s subjects come mostly from his garden, and they suggest American-Impressionist imagery.  He works with the seasons as they are very important in his connection to nature.  In addition to flowers, Lamb’s body of work includes many other subjects.
