Submit by Oct 27, 2024: “Likeness” a National Call Portrait Exhibit

September 1, 2024 - November 8, 2024

PROSPECTUS:  Likeness

SUMBISSION FORM

THEME & GUIDELINES: Portraits are forever. They capture the likeness of the human subject they are portraying. It may be through a visual similarity with the sitter or the ephemeral essence of the subject. Portrait artists bring all kinds of intangible aspects to their work. The fact that we can look at a painting done hundreds of years ago and feel a kinship with the sitter, in our contemporary moment, is a testament to the power of portraiture.

The work will be juried anonymously by Carl Grauer.

Artwork work may range from realism to non-representational abstraction, all 2-D media are welcome. 3-D artwork both wall hanging and free standing will be considered. (Space for sculpture is limited, see size restrictions) All artwork must be original.
