Ever wanted to create your own comic but curious on where to begin?
Well in this fun engaging workshop we will do just that! Brainstorm a comic to tell a short story! Through several days I will show you the entire process of taking a comic page from the thumbnail stage into a final full color finished comic illustration. We will go from an initial sketch to using ink to line our work and then using copic markers to finalize it.
All materials will be provided!
Hello my name is Joe M Ryan. I am a 2018 graduate of the Joe Kubert school. I’ve always been interested in art, ever since I was a kid. For many years I was self taught until I attended a three year program at Joe Kubert. After I graduated, my art progressed to a professional level that won me many opportunities. I have worked doing caricatures for weddings and graduations and fundraisers. Additionally I have worked alongside a team of small creators doing sketch cards for Both Rusty Ink and a publisher out west named Bianca Thompson and Horrendous Magazine in Tannersville PA as well as the Kickstarter Not So Fair Tales. Currently I am working on self publishing my first graphic Novel titled “My Life With An 80s Girl” on comixplex.com
Character design and animation is a passion of mine and I want to share it with as many aspiring artists as I can!
