August 19 – 23rd Try Famous Artists’ Styles with Margaret Grasso

Grades 2nd – 8th

Many famous artists have special, unique styles which we can recognize and use as inspiration. They have created many works of art that we can create art of our own with! From Picasso’s abstract faces to Van Gogh’s sunflowers. Close up flowers like Georgia O’Keefe and cut-out collages like Henri Matisse. We’ll be discovering artists, their styles, and what inspires us about their artwork. This class will use paint, scissors, glue, and other materials.

I am an experienced K-12 art teacher of 28 years. I also substituted 12.5 years for art teachers K-12 in Pine Bush and Valley Central Schools, plus 3 years teaching summer art classes at WRCA! Creating my own paintings and teaching art is a lifelong passion for me. I share this joy and knowledge with the students, and they feel the creative energy with me!
