Animals and Nature with Margaret Grasso

July 13- 17
10am – 12pm
Grades 2-6
These two themes (Animals & Nature) co-exist…. colors, patterns, textures, symmetry, camouflage. Relating these elements together is going to be very interesting.
We’ll try realistic & imaginary styles, and a little abstract also. Projects include guided drawings into paintings, transferring large animal heads onto loosely painted backgrounds with added collage accents, and a focus on very large animal eyes! Create close ups of just the patterns & textures, feathers & fur! Start collecting reference pictures!
I am an experienced K-12 art teacher of 28 years. I also substituted 12.5 years for art teachers K-12 in Pine Bush and Valley Central Schools, plus 3 years teaching summer art classes at WRCA! Creating my own paintings and teaching art is a lifelong passion for me. I share this joy and knowledge with the students, and they feel the creative energy with me!
