For beginners who say they can’t draw a line or those who want to brush up after years away – this class is the way to start. Using graphite and charcoal on toned and white paper participants will learn how to use drawing tools to create good basic drawings as studies for future paintings.

Line drawings, tonal shading, shapes, observations, perspective forms and basic shapes like fruits, vegetables, plants, still life setting and landscapes. Focus on composition, basic outline forms, shading, light and shadows, and how to add color.

Following Beginners Drawing I (April 22 and 29) which covered how to use the drawing tools lines, tones, techniques, and Beginners Drawing II ( May 6 – 27) which covered shapes and shadows, line and tonal drawing, composition perspective of still life objects, and then landscapes  – join us for class 3 of this drawing series.
