Color Comprehension for Painters – Making, mixing and using color

This 4-week workshop focuses on color, the fundamental component of painting. Harness this ethereal facet of painting. You will become more familiar with the nuances of color was we progress through a series of fun exercises. Students will be asked to challenge their perception and application of color as it relates to emotion, mood, and psychology. We will utilize practical applied experimentation of color mixing, not academic theory.

This class is appropriate for painters of all full color mixable mediums such as oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor. Pastels can also be used if the set is large enough with a full range of color options.

Level: painters with a little to a lot of experience will be able to follow along easily; beginners may find this too advanced.
