“Learning to look” is one of the most fundamental principles for any artist. Intentionally observing what otherwise might be missed in our everyday environment can yield a deeper appreciation when seen through artistic interpretation. It’s so easy to stop noticing the things closest to home because they have become so familiar. But if we stop and change perspective and focus on the little things in our lives, we can discover beauty and value in what was before mundane.
