Figuratively Speaking: A Regional Exhibition Juried by John McGiff

November 14 - December 20

Figuratively Speaking: A Regional Exhibition Juried by celebrated artist John McGiff
November 14 – December 20, 2026

CALL FOR ARTWORK | Deadline: October 19

PROSPECTUS

The inclusion of the human figure in image making is as old as art itself. How do we see ourselves, how do we see others? What’s their story; Is it like our own or different? With all the special attributes that make each of us an individual, the one truth that we can’t get around is that we all share humanity, for better or worse. Tell us a story.

John received his B.F.A. from SUNY Purchase, winning the Dean’s Commendation for Painting and Drawing, and an M.F.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
