Victoria Falevich: Creators Ichor

Wallkill River Center for the Arts is pleased to present a mini exhibit by emerging artist Victoria Falevich. We have followed her growing talent since childhood and now, at the age of 16, we are pleased to present a selection of five recent pieces in a mini exhibit in the stairwell.
On view November 10-December 31, 2023. All exhibits are free and open to the public Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12:00-5:00 pm. Please join us for the artists reception on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 pm.
ARTIST STATEMENT:
My artwork and writing are intertwined and it is hard to say whether the story creates the drawing or the drawing is the beginning of the story. I hope you enjoy the paintings and are curious to know more about the back stories.
BIOGRAPHY:
Victoria Falevich is a 16 year old artist who has spent her childhood in the New York state. She started making art at two and has continued to progresses in her ability over the years. Animals have always been her strong suit, and she especially enjoys working with pencils and acrylic paints.
Do you remember this portrait of Victoria Falevich from our 2016 ad campaign? “Victoria is a budding young artist who comes from a Russian immigrant family of artists and designers. She has always had a passion for art from the time she first discovered pencils when she was two years old. Victoria loves art and the Wallkill River School gives her the opportunity to learn how to expres herself in all mediums from drawing, painting, Manga and anime classes to summer art programs geared toward her age group and skill level. Victoria loves working with different artists and being challenged to learn new ways to unleash her inner artist!”
