Location:  Wallkill River Center for the Arts Gallery

Cost: $135 per student

This is a basic introduction to drawing with oil pastel as well as learning about color theory. Students will be led through various fun techniques like blending and scratching for oil pastels. Come excited to experiment with color and possibly get a bit messy!

Projects will be scaled up or down depending on student’s ability and experience.  All materials will be provided!

Sarah Baker is an art educator in the Hudson Valley and has been teaching art for over 4 years. She received a Bachelors of Science in Art Education Degree at SUNY New Paltz in 2020 with a concentration in drawing and printmaking. She enjoys learning new art mediums and strives to pursue as many new ones as possible. Currently, she has experience with drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, printmaking, computer graphics, sculpture, crafts and digital art. Sarah’s favorites are charcoal, pencil, pen, etching and Procreate.
